I AM NOURISHED

Hi Friends!

We're exploring the second part of our Connect mantra this week.... I AM NOURISHED.

nour·ish /ˈnəriSH/:

to help the growth or development of.
to supply with nourishment.
to bring to maturity through care and education.

Nourishment takes so many forms. We can think of nourishing ourselves with healthy food and healthy thoughts. We can be nourished by our relationships (both to self and other). We can create sustainability practices that help to nourish our environment.

I'm always reminded of something that Brene Brown shares in regards to nourishing relationships. She talks about a one-inch square piece of paper that she carries around with her with the names of a few people that are in her inner circle of friends. These are people she knows she can turn to for unconditional support, who's opinions she whole-heartedly trusts, who are trying not going to try and "fix" her, but rather listen, support and nourish her through their loving presence.

I think it's so important to have these kinds of relationships (even if it's just one or two special people in your life) and to find time to nourish those deeper connections that help to keep us grounded through life's twists and turns. Who in your life would be in your inner circle?

This week in our yoga classes we'll be exploring ways that we can nourish ourselves through movement and feed ourselves healthy thoughts. Mindset and Movement! 😍 If you've spent any amount of time with me, you know I'm all about nourishing a supple psoas for grounding and healthy whole body (pain free) movement, so we'll be exploring ways to find more freedom and ease through hydrating the spinal midline and psoas (hint: if you have a squishy ball, get it ready!)

Enjoy this Nourish the Core (with a squishy ball) sequence where we explore a grounding practice that helps to release stuck stress from the body, relax the psoas and find a little strength and stability from a place of ease.
