BOUNCE WITH ME!

Hi Friends!

I have some exciting news to share! As I mentioned in a previous email, I've been embarking on a new journey getting certified in Rebounding (or mini-trampoline exercise). "Bouncing" as I lovingly call it has become a new passion and I'm really excited about being able to share it with you. Although it might seem a bit of a stretch from restorative yoga, it's actually a beautiful progression into a really fun, smart, and healthy exercise form where I can incorporate all of my passions from somatics to restorative yoga to Pilates to dance.

I've just received my "official" certification from Bellicon, one of the leaders in the industry and am continuing my professional development with them. I wanted to share my "teachback" video with you to give you an idea of what it's all about and maybe spark a little interest for you too. I'll be sharing more Bounce videos free on my YouTube channel very soon and hope to offer a full array of Bounce classes at the studio when we re-open at some point this year! My next bounce video will be a little a shorter and showing you how to use a balance bar for more stability, perfect for those a little weary of just hopping on the rebounder (pun intended) and starting to jump.

I know for many of us, when we think "trampoline", we think back yard kids jumping high and getting crazy. While that can be fun too, Rebounding or mini-trampoline exercise is quite different. For one the rebounder is much smaller and the movements are gentle and controlled to ensure safety and efficiency of workout. The health benefits are far reaching and include, but by no means limited to:

  • Increases endurance and cardio health

  • Strengthens bones

  • Boosts Lymphatic System

  • Improves balance and coordination

  • Supports pelvic health

  • Decreases stress and boosts happiness
